¬Interactive Design
Web
In order to create an effective web presence, you must create a good web design. Web design differs from print and other interactive design. The process is very different, and there are many things to keep in mind while designing e.g. cross-browser compatibility, search engine optimization, and usability. Here are some examples of effective web designs, designed with a target audience in mind.
¬Wellviewer®
Wellviewer®
Wellviewer® is an ingenius product, designed to solve a common problem in probably all elementary school cafeterias. The problem is that:
"codes require serving counter heights in schools to be 34” and public schools increasingly have younger and younger kids who are not able to see what is on the counter and particularly what is in the food wells in the counter when they are going through the serving lines."
-Wellviewer Product Designer
This website was created to promote the product to a specific target audience: those in the school district food department. The purpose of the site is to mainly introduce the patented product, and allow users to purchase these products. The simple layout mocks the design of the Wellviewer® and maintains focus on the one of a kind product.
¬American Airlines
Asia International Flagship Service Training
This is a web based training site created for the Flight Service department at American Airlines. Flight attendants around the world will be able to access this training and become certified to work on flights servicing Asia (mainly Japan). We worked with a team at AA to create this exciting, interactive, training module that would allow flight attendants to stop dreading over training, and to actually get them motivated about the new flight service to Japan. For this project we created many high quality graphics and animations to keep the Japanese theme consistent. We also developed a small educational game within the lesson. Please contact us if you're interested in taking a closer look at this amazing training program. 700+ flight attendants registered to take this online course even before the official launch date. Click to view a teaser of the lesson.
¬onlySoccer
onlySoccer.com Flash Website
onlySoccer.com Flash Website. It is an athletic website, marketing exclusively Adidas brand soccer gear. Because of the subject, the website needed to give a high-energy user experience. For this, we chose to use Macromedia Flash as the main development tool. Flash offers smooth animations, transitions, and sound capabilities. The website features a Flash intro, and beyond the site, a flash animated banner was created to promote the site. The pre production material for this site can be viewed under "Pre Production" in the Print section.
¬MMCFund
Micheal Maddison Children's Fund
The Micheal Maddison Children's Fund is a non-profit organization that focuses on seeking help for children who have become victims of AIDS including those orphaned to it. The project was a website redesign and we have made the redesign a success. The design of the site is created to target adults and invoke their love for children. The website needed to have a fresh, up to date look to separate it from other non-profit site designs.
¬Drug Suspicion
Drug Suspicion Website
The fact is, teenagers are vulnerable to temptation and peer pressure, and can too easily get in contact with harmful and illegal drugs. DrugSuspicion.com is a website targeting parents of teenage kids. The purpose of the site is to educate parents on the subject and offer them advice and solutions to keep this growing problem under control in their home. The site also tries to get communities involved in the process and control of drugs in their neighborhood.
¬BK Dallas
BKWSO - Dallas Website
The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual Organization is a worldwide non-profit organization that offers an education in human, moral and spiritual values. The Dallas location needed a website where they could post information about the organization and promote events that they host. They didn't want to portray a corporate look, and were very pleased at how we were able to create a look and feel on the site that identifies them. The site uses PHP to build the html pages and control the navigation of the site. We continue to maintain and update the site on a monthly basis. Among other things, we have created many print flyers and other marketing materials, web banners, etc.
¬Camera Culture
Drug Suspicion Website
The Camera Culture e-zine is a web periodical showcasing several photographers' work. This web page was created to fit with the design of the Camera Culture site, and showcases some of our lead designer's (Roshan Bhakta) photography. The subject matter chosen was the DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit). Roshan wanted to capture this side of the city that many stuck in traffic miss out on. Besides photography, you will find examples of QuickTime VR also related to the topic.
¬Interactive
CD-ROM
CD-ROM and kiosks are another way to deliver interactive content. Designing for this type of medium is different from delivering over internet, and a good understanding of the difference will make a CD-ROM presentation successful.
¬Paul Mitchell
Check it Out / 2004 CD-ROM
This Paul Mitchell CD ROM was created for distribution to salons around the nation. Created to accompany the print publication of "Check It Out 2004," the project is meant to educate salons about the company, the products they offer, the training programs available, and the benefits of carrying the well-known brand in their salon. The CD ROM provides a vast amount of content, and presents it in an interactive and visually interesting form, something that most in this industry have not done yet.
